Cortijo Francisco
Cortijo Francisco provides a fabulous atmosphere to host your wedding or event, in an intimate and tranquil setting. It really has that "special something", with it's large space, coquettish corners and sublimely romantic atmosphere.
The Cortijo sits in 160 acres of semi-tropical forest with bright bougainvillea, many palms, cacti and imported tropical species, creating magic at every view.
This backdrop reveals surprising vistas through the foliage, hidden dens and a perfect place for those special occasion photographs.
Created by the 1940s and ’50s Hollywood idol Stewart Granger (the “last of the swashbucklers”) he built this house for his retirement, based around an original farmhouse which was renovated and extended.
The style is original and intriguing, combining old and new. You'll find white stucco walls, ornate iron window bars and Moorish painted tiles, a Cordoban-style patio, and Andalucian farmhouse high beamed ceilings.
But there are many eclectic architectural and design details from other parts of the world.
There are doors from India, Morocco and Syria, the main door of the property and several interior doors come from 15th- and 16th-century convents, there are Roman-style columns around the pool, some Florentine windows and a Caribbean style bamboo lined ceiling of the covered pool terrace. Not forgetting the much photographed bell tower that's distinctly Mexican!
Its 1,700 square metres of construction are full of history, to help you fall in love with it. The property is fantastic for holidays, group gatherings, retreats and celebrations both indoors and outdoors.
It can be uniquely designed, themed and prepared to your tastes to ensure you have an unforgettable experience.
In terms of accommodation, there are 7 double rooms with private bathrooms, a living room, dining room, kitchen, gardens and beautiful 16m pool.

CORTIJO FRANCISCO : Excellent place to rest and enjoy friends and family. We were a group with children and with the heated pool it was a success. We will repeat.

Cortijo Francisco is a fabulous wedding and events venue located just 15 minutes on the road from the centre of Estepona.
This wonderful venue is a 20 minute drive to Puerto Banus and a further 10 minutes on to Marbella.
Allow an hour for the journey to the airport in Malaga.
